about
super fun story about this song: it's actually still not finished lol.
so basically i'd spent a few days recording this and was suuuuuper happy with it, but the 'brass' at the end sounded a bit eh so i wanted to tweak it & when i turned on my computer to do just that..... the entire file had been deleted. everything. 3 days of work. gone. i tried to record it again but garageband wasn't having any of it so this is what i'm left with.
tbh i'm pretty happy with it as it is, but y'know imo it could be better.
that's just me though.
lyrics
I live next door to an airfield and it's driving me mad,
These planes are drowning out every single thought in my head,
These city lights are way too bright yeah, they're outshining the stars,
I'm breathing in the air of strangers, and I'm home but I feel lost,
In a moment of freedom I found you,
My 11:11 wishes came true,
And in the darkest of rooms, you're the light I see,
The only colour for miles in these black and white streets,
So, take my hand right now,
Let's ditch this town and tell me,
I'm yours,
We'll get drunk off cheap wine,
Dance away the night just tell me,
I'm yours,
I won't lie to you, I've done this before,
Fallen to hard to fast, then walked out the door,
Maybe I'm too scared to take a chance, too scared to face more pain,
But I swear to god this time I don't feel so afraid,
So, take my hand right now,
Let's ditch this town and tell me,
I'm yours,
We'll get drunk off cheap wine,
Dance away the night just tell me,
I'm yours,
Can't make the time stop going,
But we can make it our own not thinking 'bout,
What tomorrow has in store,
We'll name all of the stars,
Sleep in the back of our car just tell me,
I'm yours,
Baby this city is way too proud and,
These planes next door to me are way too loud and,
Maybe I'm a little crazy, a little insane,
But this one's not the same,
So, take my hand right now,
Let's ditch this town and tell me,
I'm yours,
We'll get drunk off cheap wine,
Dance away the night just tell me,
I'm yours,
Can't make the time stop going,
But we can make it our own, not thinking 'bout,
What tomorrow has in store,
We'll name all of the stars,
Sleep in the back of our car just tell me,
I'm yours,
We're naming all of the stars,
In the back of your car you tell me,
I'm yours.
